About The Position

Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Life Engagement Director position. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and implementing programs and events providing residents an Acts Signature Experience (ASE) wellness culture. These ASE events will encompass the three components that define life balance and are needed for improving and maintaining quality of life: body, mind, and spirit. In each senior’s personal journey, he or she has the opportunity to make new goals in all dimensions of wellness. Perform engagement work related to community operations and management. Oversee the operations of all activity departments in independent living, assisted living, and skilled care neighborhoods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in recreation, fine arts or a related human services field
  • Minimum of two years progressively responsible work experience in the recreation department of a retirement community, skilled care, or assisted living environment
  • National Certification Council for Activity Professionals or a state approved coordinator’s activity course (preferred)
