About the position
The Life Engagement Assistant at Volante of Ashbrook is responsible for supporting the Life Engagement Manager in creating and implementing a variety of activities that enhance the well-being of residents. This role focuses on fostering a positive environment through leisure activities that address the spiritual, cultural, physical, intellectual, and social needs of the residents, both within the community and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Help establish a program of activities that stimulates the mind, body, and soul.
- Foster a positive atmosphere with leisure activities for residents.
- Promote residents' attendance at events and activities.
- Assist in preparation of activity calendar and input of newsletter.
- Conduct activity programs as assigned.
- Drive community van and bus as needed.
- Assist with decorations for holidays and special occasions.
- Assist residents with gardening projects.
- Arrange for appropriate spiritual activities as reflected by resident preferences.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience working with the elderly.
- Possess First Aid Certification.
- Valid license to drive a passenger vehicle.
- Clean motor vehicle report.
