Stok is seeking a Life Cycle Assessment Project Manager to join our Carbon Services Team. As a consultant at Stok, you will work with some of the world’s most innovative companies, including those influencing iconic corporate climate programs and real estate projects for positive impact. Ideal candidates have a background in building science, sustainable design, embodied carbon tools and policy, and are detail-oriented and able to communicate complex ideas, strategies, and data to technical and non-technical audiences. Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, environmental science, sustainability, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years’ experience in LCA methodologies within the real estate industry.
  • At least one year of related Project Management experience with direct client engagement.
  • Experience documenting LCA for LEED and ILFI certification pursuits.
  • Direct experience using OneClick LCA, with some experience in other software tools such as EC3, and/or TallyCAT.
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit and BIM360.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel to analyze large datasets. The ideal candidate is eager to deep dive into the data to classify results and identify trends.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas, strategies, and data into actionable insights in a way a non-technical audience can understand.
  • Passion for sustainability and climate action.

Nice To Haves

  • LEED Accredited Professional preferred.
  • Working knowledge of carbon accounting and target-setting frameworks (GHG Protocol, SBTi, WGBC, etc.) and carbon offsets preferred

Responsibilities

  • Quantify the embodied carbon emissions associated with the activities of our diverse clients, ranging from individual building construction to global portfolio operations.
  • Individually manage and perform whole building Life Cycle Assessments (wbLCA), enabling clients to make data-informed decisions to reduce environmental impacts of design and construction, and to align with certification frameworks, e.g., LEED, ILFI.
  • Develop carbon accounting tools and resources for Stok’s LCA team to support tracking and calculating embodied carbon impact (baseline, historical, and forecasting).
  • Collect, track, and analyze data related to all aspects within a sustainability strategy for portfolio-wide environmental impacts, including but not limited to: energy use, waste generation, building construction, and transportation.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability practices and low-carbon strategies across a diverse project portfolio.
  • Develop reports and presentations that verbally and visually communicate environmental impact data analysis and recommendations for improvement.
  • Aide in the development and management of corporate, municipal, and institutional climate action plans.
  • Provide research support to Project Managers on innovative sustainable design, low-carbon product selection, construction, and operational strategies and technologies.
  • Attend seminars, workshops, and conferences to remain informed on industry trends, including best practices, standardization, and emerging policies and regulations in the US and abroad.
