What You’ll Do: As a Life Actuarial Associate I on our Life Actuarial and Risk Management team, you will develop your understanding of actuarial functions and insurance concepts through hands-on application. You will be part of a team responsible for the production and analysis of actual and projected financial results; profitability analysis and management of our in-force life insurance policies and annuity contracts; and development of the actuarial models needed to support these activities. In addition you will have opportunity to interact and engage with professionals in a variety of other areas across the company.

Requirements

  • College degree in math, actuarial science, or related degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • At least two actuarial exams preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Above average mathematical and analytical ability to be able to resolve difficult problems.
  • Knowledge and working experience with spreadsheets.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with coworkers.
  • Ability to work from our office in West Des Moines, Iowa.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis.

Nice To Haves
