About The Position

The Licensing and Merchandising Manager will lead the strategic development and execution of licensing and merchandising initiatives for Spire Motorsports, including those competing in multiple series. This role is critical in driving revenue growth, enhancing brand visibility, and managing complex licensing agreements across diverse markets. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in licensing, merchandising, and brand management within the sports or entertainment industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive licensing and merchandising strategies aligned with the team's brand objectives and market opportunities.
  • Oversee the strategic direction for licensing across multiple NASCAR teams and series, ensuring cohesive brand representation and maximizing revenue.
  • Identify and pursue new licensing and merchandising opportunities to expand market presence and increase profitability.
  • Lead negotiations and management of licensing agreements, including drafting contracts, setting terms, and monitoring compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with licensees, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and quality standards.
  • Evaluate and select potential licensees and partners, leveraging market research and data analysis to inform decisions.
  • Manage and resolve issues related to licensing agreements, including contract disputes and performance concerns.
  • Oversee the development, production, and distribution of team merchandise, including apparel, collectibles, and other branded products.
  • Collaborate with internal design teams and external vendors to create innovative product lines that resonate with fans and drive sales.
  • Monitor inventory levels, sales performance, and supply chain operations to ensure efficient merchandising processes and timely product availability.
  • Implement promotional strategies and campaigns to boost merchandise visibility and sales, including coordinating with marketing and sponsorship teams.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitive activities.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on licensing and merchandising performance, including sales data, market insights, and strategic recommendations.
  • Use data-driven insights to optimize product offerings, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
  • Manage a team of licensing and merchandising associates, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment, ensuring effective communication and coordination between departments and with external partners.
  • Represent the team at industry events, trade shows, and licensing meetings to build relationships and enhance brand presence.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for major licensees, retail partners, and key stakeholders, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with partners to facilitate ongoing collaboration and growth opportunities.
  • Engage with fans and customers to gather feedback and continuously improve the merchandising experience.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
