About The Position

Under direction of the Unit Chief, Staff Services Manager I (SSM I), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) is responsible for the review and processing of applications regarding Psychiatric Health Facilities (PHFs), Mental Health Rehabilitation Centers (MHRCs), Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities (PRTFs) and Lanterman-Petris-Short (LPS) Act designated facilities. The AGPA is also responsible to assist on licensing reviews of PHFs, MHRCs and PRTFs licensed by the Mental Health Licensing Branch( MHLCB). The AGPA reviews MHRC and PHF, (Medication Assisted Treatment) MAT plans of operation, coordinates with each county behavioral department, writes reports, and grants approvals to county LPS designated facilities in accordance with the state law, regulations, and departmental policies.
