About The Position

The LVN in the Emergency Services department is responsible for providing patient care in a safe and effective manner. Additional responsibilities include directing the Emergency Department Technician activity, synthesizing patient information, performing focused assessments of patients, reviewing discharge instructions, implementing treatment plan/MD orders, and documenting and evaluating per unit standards. Collaboration between healthcare team members and integration of patient care standards are incorporated into all clinical activities. Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Requirements

  • One year experience working as an LVN in an acute care hospital or emergency department setting.
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse Certification required
  • Intravenous Therapy and Blood Withdrawal (IVBW) Certification required
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Card required
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Card required
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Card required

Nice To Haves

  • Electronic Medical Record experience preferred.
