About The Position

Licensed Vocational Nurse- (On-Call) Pay Rate - $45.39/hour On-Call: 0-8 Hours/Week Shift Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Please note this role is a non-benefited role. San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living: Nestled in San Francisco's Excelsior neighborhood on a nine-acre campus, the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living (SFCJL) is a center of excellence in providing a continuum of care. This includes the Frank Residences, offering luxurious assisted living and memory care services; the Jewish Home and Rehabilitation Center, featuring long-term skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation, and an acute psychiatric unit specialized in mental healthcare for older adults over age 55; and the Jewish Home and Senior Living Foundation. Grounded in the Jewish values of dignity, compassion, and community, the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living, fondly referred to in the past as "the Jewish Home," was founded in 1871. Today, 150 years later, it continues to build upon its legacy of enriching the lives of older adults.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Licensed Vocational Nursing program.
Current and active LVN license in the state of California.
Current CPR certification.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Strong commitment to quality patient care, safety, and professionalism.

Nice To Haves

Two years of acute or long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver and oversee comprehensive nursing care, including administering medications and treatments, and assessing residents' conditions.
Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed.
Supervise nursing assistants and actively participate in resident care as required.
Utilize available resources to ensure optimal care is provided.
Ensure that unit supplies and equipment are maintained and readily available.
Promote and maintain a clean, safe environment for residents and staff.
Respond appropriately to both resident and facility emergencies.
Document care needs and interventions accurately in medical records and care plans.
Complete all required documentation related to assessments, care planning, physician orders, and evaluations.
Maintain effective communication across nursing shifts, departments, supervisors, physicians, and resident families.
Advocate for residents’ rights and report any signs of abuse or neglect.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols and infection control policies.
Maintain resident confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times.
Assist with onboarding and orientation of new nursing staff.
Provide feedback for the evaluation of nursing assistants.
Attend in-service education and training to support ongoing professional development.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Accept reassignment as necessary to meet resident care needs.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
