The LVN will provide direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse for adults, adolescents, children and geriatric patients with psychiatric and substance abuse conditions or House Supervisor. The LVN will be responsible for using the Nursing process to effectively manage the Plan of Care for each patient based on appropriate standards, policies and procedures. Management of each patient also includes appropriately and effectively delegating patient care duties to other members of the nursing team in order to assure optimal patient outcomes. The Licensed Vocational Nurse is also responsible for continuing his/her own professional development to enhance practice and the profession of Nursing and actively participates as a member of the multi-disciplinary team of the unit and performs duties as assigned.
