What You’ll Do Our LVNs provide nursing care, supervise nursing assistants, and ensure resident safety and satisfaction.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program
- Current LVN license from the Texas State Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners
- CPR Certification
- Knowledge of nursing theory and practice, ideally with geriatrics experience
- Strong communication, teamwork, and resident-focused mindset
Nice To Haves
- Previous LVN experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor resident condition, documenting changes and outcomes
- Supervise and assign duties to nursing assistants and ancillary staff
- Participate in care plan development and follow-through
- Ensure medication and treatment compliance with federal, state, and company regulations
- Count and secure controlled substances; maintain medicine supply room organization
- Assist with discharge planning related to medications and treatments
- Adhere to OSHA, infection control, and emergency procedures
- Attend trainings to remain current with nursing standards and emerging healthcare trends
