About The Position

The LVN supports the physician and nursing staff in the delivery of healthcare by performing patient care assessments, and a variety of medically related tasks. The LVN is a licensed nurse who works in an ambulatory care setting to perform and provide nursing services within the scope of practice.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Diploma from accredited Vocational/Technical LVN program required.
1 year LVN experience preferred.
Current unrestricted Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license issued by State of California
Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
Communication - Ability to convey and/or receive written/verbal information to/from various audiences in different formats.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be able to communicate, verbally and in writing, with staff, customers, and patients over the telephone or in person.
Regulatory - Ability to use discretion and maintain privacy, confidentiality, or anonymity.
Maintains confidentiality of patient care and business matters.
Ability to interpret and apply knowledge of State, Federal and Agency standards to comply with regulations.
Working knowledge of subject matter domain areas in clinical quality, patient safety, regulatory and reimbursement context.
Ability to deliver safe, appropriate, ethical and evidence-based care in an effective, efficient, and professional manner.
Incorporates feedback, self-reflection, sound clinical reasoning and problem solving to continuously improve quality of care and operational processes.
Technical - Ability to use software applications and operate technological devices (e.g., computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.).
Strong proficiency using Microsoft Windows and other Microsoft Office software: MS Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Word, etc.
Technical - Ability to operate mechanical/medical devices and/or equipment.
Knowledgeable and proficient in the use of health care technology within specialty area.
Time Management - Ability to demonstrate time management and priority setting skills.
Demonstrated success working independently, forging relationships, and managing multiple tasks with minimal directions.
