About The Position

Medix Infusion is seeking an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team in Red Oak, TX. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) specializing in infusion therapy, you will play a key role in providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients. You’ll collaborate closely with our Intake, Scheduling, Pharmacy, and Clinical teams to ensure seamless coordination of care, contributing to an excellent patient experience in a supportive environment. This is an onsite opportunity at our clinic, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. You will be working as part of a small team with minimal supervision. Medix Infusion is a technology-driven healthcare platform dedicated to enhancing patient care and access to infusion therapies. We specialize in disease management and infusion pharmacy services for chronic and acutely ill patients, especially those in underserved communities. We offer personalized home and in-suite infusion therapies, ensuring convenience and comfort. Our expert team provides a comprehensive range of treatments, including anti-infectives, biologics, IVIG, and other injectables, making each patient’s journey as smooth as possible.

Requirements

  • Active LVN license with 1-3 years of hands-on clinical experience.
  • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care with compassion and professionalism.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to thrive both in a collaborative team environment and as a self-reliant individual contributor.
  • Capable of performing all essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in IV therapy or infusion specialty is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Advocate for patients by addressing their concerns and supporting a positive overall experience.
  • Facilitate communication with healthcare team members to ensure effective patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on infusion therapy, side effects, and adherence to treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals as needed to gather additional patient information.
  • Follow established clinical protocols to ensure safe and effective infusion therapy.
  • Provide guidance to non-clinical staff within the Patient Services Department.
  • Manage tasks efficiently to prevent delays in patient care.
  • Attend departmental meetings and participate in in-service training.
  • Assist in training and orienting new staff as necessary.
  • Maintain courteous, compassionate, and professional behavior with all patients and staff.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
