Glen Oaks Hospital is a 54-bed private mental health hospital in a relaxed setting in Greenville, Texas. The LVN performs under the direction of a Registered Nurse in providing nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing basic understanding of psychiatric and personality disorders. Hours: Varied; 7a-3p OR 3p to 11p, weekdays and weekends

Requirements

Education: Graduate from a Vocational School of Nursing Accredited by the State Board of Nursing.
Experience: Minimum one (1) year as a /LVN in psychiatric nursing preferred.
Licensure: Licensed to practice Vocational nursing from the State Board of Nursing or Psychiatric Technicians.
Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification and successful completion of Handle with Care (HWC) including restraint and seclusion policies and Verbal De-escalation before on the unit orientation and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.

Nice To Haves
