Requirements

  • Must possess an LVN degree from an accredited school of nursing and current state license.
  • Possess current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working with older adults in a health care setting; geriatric mental health a plus.
  • Have computer knowledge and experience with healthcare charting systems.
  • Have a genuine interest in caring for elderly residents and working in a geriatric environment.
  • Must be physically able to traverse the expanse of the campus to give potential residents medications and treatments as necessary.
  • Enjoy being part of a team, as this person will work closely with a team of nurses
  • Be able to maintain patience and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members, and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement care plans for each resident.
  • Help oversee the care staff and assist them in making educated care decisions.
