For more information, please visit our website at: https://glenoakshospital.com/ Position Summary: The LVN performs under the direction of a Registered Nurse in providing nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing basic understanding of psychiatric and personality disorders. Hours: 3pm to 11pm, 5 days per week, rotating weekends
Requirements
- Graduate from a Vocational School of Nursing Accredited by the State Board of Nursing.
- Minimum one (1) year as a /LVN in psychiatric nursing preferred.
- Licensed to practice Vocational nursing from the State Board of Nursing or Psychiatric Technicians.
- Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications.
- CPR certification and successful completion of Handle with Care (HWC) including restraint and seclusion policies and Verbal De-escalation before on the unit orientation and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum one (1) year as a /LVN in psychiatric nursing preferred.
