About The Position

We have opening for an LVN in our Needs Assessment Department. Aurora Charter Oak Hospital has been delivering Behavioral Health Treatment Services for over 83 years. We are located on 10 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds in Covina, California. Covina is about 22 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, in the San Gabriel Valley, close to 10, 60 and 210 FWY. Requirements

Current and valid California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers, required upon hire.
High school diploma or equivalent education/experience.
Familiarity with psychiatric nursing principles and practices.
Basic knowledge of detoxification assessment and treatment procedures.
Understanding of addiction treatment concepts, including 12-step programs and cognitive aspects of addictive diseases.
Ability to recognize signs of withdrawal from various substances and apply appropriate care interventions.
Therapeutic Options Training (TOT) prior to providing direct patient care without supervision.

Responsibilities

The Intake Coordinator assists in collecting patient information for possible admits, pre-certs, and filing mandatory reporting
take phone calls into the assessment center and routes calls as necessary
UR Pre-certification with insurance companies
Assist with taking physician orders and other duties as assigned.
