Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) | Registered Nurse (RN)
About The Position
Crestwood is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team, focusing on behavioral health and client recovery. For over 50 years, Crestwood has developed innovative recovery programs and compassionate communities, emphasizing a personal and self-directed care model to empower clients. The role involves providing direct nursing care according to physicians' orders and client care standards, within the nurse's scope of practice. Nurses will also direct non-licensed personnel in client care and unit operations. At Idylwood Care Center, the philosophy is that individuals can become experts in managing their own care and achieve maximum independence by actively participating in their lives.
Requirements
- Current licensure in California as RN or LVN
- Knowledge of general nursing theory and practice
- Ability to supervise
- Ability to work cooperatively with other staff members
- Current CPR and first aid certifications
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in mental health nursing preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides direct nursing care to the clients according to physicians’ orders and applicable client care standards, within their scope of practice
- Provide direction to non-licensed personnel in providing direct client care and operation of the unit
