Requirements

Must have a current and valid license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse issued by the State of California.
BCLS and ACLS
PALS within 3 months of hire
IV certification upon hire.
EDAP and EDAP II required within 6 months of hire.
Minimum one year experience in an Acute Care Medical-Surgical setting.

Responsibilities

The Licensed Vocational Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care services that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care, meets the communication needs of the patient and family under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Knowledgeable of EMTALA Regulations and triage process in the ER setting.
