Rotating weekend and holiday requirements. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing required.
  • 6 months in an acute care setting or completion of a THR Residency Program.
  • Previous LVN experience in acute care setting strongly preferred.
  • Emergency department experience preferred.
  • LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse required.
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly upon hire required.
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with team to facilitate hourly rounding and initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
  • Collects data and reports significant findings to RN.
  • Engages family/caregivers in health care situations.
  • Uses nursing model to obtain adequate data to initiate, implement, and revise plan of care to meet patient, physician, and family needs.
  • Complies with personnel policies, i.e. attendance policies, ID badge, dress code, LVN Scope of Practice.
  • Listens and concentrates on others. Is reliable, available, and attentive.
  • Works in partnership with peers, other disciplines, and unlicensed assistive personnel.
  • In collaboration with RN incorporates evidence-based practice and research to monitor and continuously impact outcomes.
