About The Position
Under general supervision, is responsible for assisting public health physicians and professional nursing staff in conducting patient health care services in the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District. Working conditions are in clients' homes and office environment with occasional exposure to hostile people and infectious diseases. Exercises no supervision.
Requirements
- Graduation from a State Approved school of vocational or practical nursing.
- Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License.
- License to practice vocational nursing in Texas.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in public health.
- Experience with storage, handling, and administering vaccines.
- Experience navigating electronic medical records and documentation.
- Knowledge of childhood/adult vaccinations and vaccine schedules.
