About the position
Under clinical direction of a registered nurse or physician and under assigned administrative supervision at a correctional facility, in a program providing care to inmates; provides a basic level of general nursing care to inmates with mental, emotional, or developmental disabilities, or visually impaired, medically ill, or infirm inmates; and does other related work.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic nursing care to inmates with various disabilities and medical conditions.
- Work under the clinical direction of a registered nurse or physician.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and humane environment for inmates.
Requirements
- Possession of a valid, active license from the State of California to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
