Salary: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour, based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications. Up to $2,500 sign-on bonus based on skills and experience Schedule: Full-time and part-time hours available. Weekdays: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 6:00 PM (includes 1-hour unpaid lunch) Saturdays: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Requirements

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician in NY is required
  • Skilled in client communication and education
  • Experienced in anesthesia, patient monitoring, and surgical/dental assistance
  • Proficient in laboratory procedures, radiographs, ECGs, and medication preparation
  • Strong animal handling, emergency care (including CPR), and IV catheter placement
  • Knowledgeable in DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety protocols with accurate record keeping

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with clients and provide education and updates
  • Support veterinarians by answering questions and directing complex concerns
  • Ensure smooth patient flow by greeting and escorting clients
  • Safely restrain and care for animals during exams and procedures
  • Assist with surgeries, dentals, anesthesia, and recovery monitoring
  • Maintain clean and prepared clinical areas and manage equipment/inventory
  • Document patient care accurately in electronic records
  • Dispense, label, and package prescriptions
