About The Position
Rye Harrison Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our full-service animal hospital. We’re looking for a skilled, reliable, and compassionate technician who is passionate about patient care and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Schedule Options: We offer flexible scheduling to fit your lifestyle and our hospital’s needs. Typical full-time schedules include: Every other Saturday: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM One 12-hour shift: 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM Two to three weekday shifts: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM (depending on whether you work a Saturday that week) Rotating Sunday coverage: once every 5–6 weeks We’re also open to alternative schedules, including: Evening-only shifts (staying until 8:00 PM on weekdays) Weekend-only positions for technicians seeking part-time or supplemental hours Part-time hours, available on both weekdays and weekends Whether you’re looking for a consistent full-time schedule or flexible part-time hours, we’re open to finding the right fit. What You Can Expect: A collaborative, supportive culture that values communication, respect, and accountability Hands-on experience in advanced veterinary procedures, surgery, anesthesia, and critical care A consistent schedule with three days off per week to support work-life balance Salary: $27- $33 per hour, based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
Requirements
- Current NYS Veterinary Technician License (required)
- Proficiency in restraint, anesthesia monitoring, catheter placement, and laboratory procedures
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Flexibility to work weekends and one 12-hour shift per week

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care and technical support in surgery, treatment, and diagnostics
- Monitor anesthesia, assist in dental procedures, and perform laboratory testing
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient status and home care instructions
- Maintain accurate medical records in our paperless recordkeeping system.
- Assist veterinarians with procedures and contribute to a smooth, organized daily flow
