Our brand-new, state-of-the-art facility is equipped with the latest technology and offers a wide range of services, including preventive care, wellness check-ups, surgery, and dental case management. We are incredibly proud to be an AAHA-accredited hospital, which reflects our commitment to the highest standards of veterinary care. At A.C.E., our mission is to focus on preventative care to help our patients lead longer, healthier lives. With over 20 years of experience in the area, Dr. Brooke Wehrlin and Dr. Preston Kellner are dedicated to delivering compassionate, top-quality care to both pets and their families. We take great pride in our exceptional client communication and the warm, welcoming environment we've created for both clients and patients alike. With a team of skilled veterinarians and dedicated support staff, we are committed to utilizing cutting-edge technology and expert care to keep pets and our local community happy, healthy, and thriving! Our hours of operation are: Monday - Friday: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. We are closed on weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Animal restraint
  • Triage of incoming patients
  • Collection and analysis of lab samples
  • Diagnostic imaging
  • Management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability
  • Administration of medications
  • Effective communication of treatment plans with clients
  • Surgical preparation and assistance
  • Anesthetic management

Requirements

  • A Licensed Veterinary Technician with an active license required
  • 1+ year professional experience preferred but not required
  • Consistent punctuality and reliability in adherence to scheduled shifts
  • Availability to work weekends
  • Excellent client communication and medical record management skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary procedures, preventative care, and hospital operations
  • Expertise in safe and low-stress animal restraint techniques
  • Proficiency in various sample collection methods, including blood, urine, fecal, and skin specimens
  • Experience in radiographic positioning and image capture, with additional skills in dental radiography being a plus
  • Experience in anesthesia administration and surgical monitoring
  • Commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to animal-related hazards

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in dental radiography
