About The Position

Are you a skilled and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician looking to take the next step in your career? BluePearl Pet Hospital in Buffalo, NY is seeking a dedicated professional to join our thriving, collaborative overnight emergency team. This position offers up to a $10k sign-on bonus. Pay ranges from $23.50 to $45.00 per hour, with competitive shift differentials based on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool. Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience. We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends.

Requirements

• Licensed Veterinary Technician
• Experience in emergency veterinary care
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong communication skills

Nice To Haves

• VTS credentialing
• Experience with advanced medical procedures
• Passion for mentoring and training

Responsibilities

• Triage and obtain patient history
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
• Place IVC's and advanced catheters like jugular catheters, central lines or PICC lines
• Monitor and care for ventilator cases
• Work alongside other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patients
• Mentor and train fellow associates
• Nurse critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents
• Perform other relevant roles/responsibilities
