About The Position

The primary role of the Veterinary Technician is to provide excellent care to the patients of Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center, as well as assist the veterinarian and other medical staff, and upkeep of facility and equipment. Requirements

  • LVT preferred but 2 years’ experience minimum necessary
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience with anesthetic monitoring
  • Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens
  • Working knowledge of anatomy and physiology
  • Understanding of normal vs abnormal physiologic ranges
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community
  • Positive outlook and ability to work well in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are required
  • Ability to deliver exceptional client service

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with care of hospitalized patients in our state-of-the-art ICU
  • Assisting in specialized diagnostic procedures such as MRI & CT Scans
  • Assisting in specialized surgery procedures such as hemilaminectomy
  • Documenting history and updates in medical records
  • Provide quality, compassionate care for your patients
  • Assist in anesthetic and sedated procedures such as CSF taps
  • Maintain accurate treatment sheets & provide compassionate care for hospitalized patients
  • Take radiographs and obtain and prepare various blood samples for diagnostic testing
  • Provide client education on a wide range of at home care
