The role of the Baptist Health Mental Health (MH) and Chemical Dependency (CD) IOP Therapist is to provide clinical treatment and oversight of the Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Program (CD IOP). It is the role of the therapist to provide initial assessment and consultation to patients prior to program admission. The therapist will provide clinical services including psychosocial assessment, individual, family, and group therapies that meet the established standards of care and standards of practice. They will provide direct therapeutic group services, and individual consultation and services when needed, with emphasis on substance abuse and recovery. The therapist will complete and facilitate referrals for recommendations to bridge the gap of continued care, if another level of care is recommended. They will also upkeep treatment plans, screening tools, daily progress notes, and all documentation required for programming. Additionally, the therapist will tend to tasks that support the overall operations of the program, by working with support staff and participate in staffing with the medical providers and other members of the treatment team on a routine basis for quality of care. The therapist will see all ages via telehealth and in-person visits.
