Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- Active, unrestricted South Carolina license (LMSW, LISW-CP, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent)
- Strong clinical, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with children/adolescents in behavioral health or residential settings preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy in a structured residential setting
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver trauma-informed, evidence-based interventions
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment based on clinical need
- Serve as the primary liaison to parents/guardians
- Provide regular updates on progress, treatment goals, and discharge planning
- Facilitate family involvement in therapy and care planning
- Support families in preparing for successful transition post-discharge
- Partner with nursing, clinical, and operations teams
- Participate in treatment team meetings and care coordination
- Provide guidance to direct care staff to support treatment plan implementation
- Complete timely and accurate documentation including: Assessments, Treatment plans, Progress notes and Discharge summaries
- Ensure documentation supports medical necessity and active treatment
- Support discharge planning from admission through transition
- Coordinate with families and external providers
- Develop aftercare recommendations and continuity plans
- Respond to behavioral health crises
- Support staff with intervention strategies and de-escalation
