Provide quality treatment to patients within Behavioral Health Services. $5,000.00 Sign-on Bonus eligible for external new hires to the UMMH system. Harrington’s Continuum of Care: Harrington's Behavioral Health Program is a comprehensive continuum of behavioral health services including programs specializing in adult mental health, addiction and recovery services, school-based services, child and adolescent services, partial hospitalization programs (PHP), intensive outpatient services (IOP), medication management, psychiatric emergency services, and inpatient psychiatry including a co-occurring disorders unit (CDU). About Addiction and Recovery Services at Harrington: Services are available in 3 locations: Southbridge, Webster, and East Brookfield along with services offered at 3 district court locations Fast-paced environment Rapid assessments are available to offer treatment whenever the patient is ready Services include assessments, group treatment, individual and family therapy, treatment planning, toxicology services, DUI programming, and Drug Court A wide variety of group treatments are available including: Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Treatment, Relapse Prevention Group, Recovery Skills, Mindfulness, DBT Skills, Anger Management, and Women’s Recovery Group, to name a few Medication evaluation and ongoing medication management is available Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) options include but are not limited to, Suboxone, methadone, and Vivitrol The treatment team consists of licensed and unlicensed clinicians, psychiatrists, and nurse practitioners Offers onsite and telehealth/ hybrid options (due to COVID) Seamless integration to the Harrington Behavioral Health Continuum of Care Provider and self-referral both welcome General Description: Provide quality dual diagnosis treatment to patients entering into outpatient Recovery Services. Provide individual & group therapy to adults with varied substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders. Responsibilities include completing initial assessments, counseling, group therapy, case presentations to the treatment team, treatment planning, and aftercare planning. Must be able to work as part of a robust clinical team consisting of licensed and unlicensed therapists, prescribers (MDs and NPs), and clinical support staff. Strong clinical skills such as diagnostic ability, as well as communication skills, and organizational/ time management skills are imperative. Knowledge of Medication Assisted Treatments (MAT), such as Suboxone, methadone, and Vivitrol , as well as an understanding of the harm reduction model of addiction treatment is preferred. Complete all documentation and paperwork specific to the department and in compliance with hospital requirements, DMH , BSAS , The Joint Commission, and insurance providers. Responsible for managing caseload through consultations, collateral contact, and following up with the patient on missed appointments. Maintain current level of professional licensure & maintain CAQH credentialing.

Requirements

  • Graduation and training from an accredited graduate program (MA/MSW).
  • Current/active unrestricted professional license for the state of Massachusetts (LICSW) required.
  • 2 years of experience working with adults and families with a variety of substance use and mental health disorders in a clinical setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Medication Assisted Treatments (MAT), such as Suboxone, methadone, and Vivitrol , as well as an understanding of the harm reduction model of addiction treatment is preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills such as diagnostic ability, as well as communication skills, and organizational/ time management skills are imperative.
