About The Position

We are seeking remote 1099, Independent Contract Therapists to join our growing network supporting veterans, military members and their dependents. In this role the therapist will provide a full range of psychological services to include psychological assessment, diagnostic, and evidence-based treatment services.

Requirements

  • Must be licensed to practice independently in ANY state; Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Must have PsyPact in addition to state license for Psychologists.
  • Depending on license type, must have either a master's degree in social work, counseling or related field from an accredited program or a doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience practicing therapy independently.
  • Experience providing therapy to veterans and military members is preferred.
  • Experience in providing consultation about mental health diagnosis and appropriate treatment plans to professionals representing a variety of disciplines.
  • Familiarity with the full range of DSM5 clinical presentations and experience with associated brief, evidence-based psychological intervention.
  • General knowledge regarding mental health assessment and treatment.
  • General knowledge regarding Substance Use Disorders, Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders and Serious Mental Illness (SMI).
  • Skill/experience with treating patients within a Veterans' Hospital PTSD and MHC setting.
  • Assessment and intervention skills, as well as some specialized experience with Evidence-Based Treatment.
  • Ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of thorough risk assessment and mental health crises procedures.
  • Experienced in one or more Electronic Health Records.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams).
  • Must be a US citizen and reside in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Provides individual and group interventions to support patients that are coping with health psychology presentations related to mental health diagnoses.
  • Provide cognitive screening to address specific functional and/or cognitive ability questions.
  • Provides immediate access to clinical assessment and appropriate collaborative care and treatment for those experiencing mental health symptoms or behavioral health issues.
  • Must independently complete thorough psychosocial assessments to determine the psychosocial functioning and needs of the patient and their families.
  • Must possess a working knowledge and experience in use of medical and mental health diagnoses, disabilities, and treatment procedures.
  • Follow suicide prevention guidelines and risk assessment documentation and training requirements.
  • Completes thorough psychosocial assessments and includes pertinent information in all the required areas of functioning.
  • Provides a Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) diagnosis to determine the psychosocial functioning and needs of patients and/or their families.
  • Provides emergency/crisis interventions that are provided to the patient to stabilize.
  • Engages in rapid assessments and develops crisis management plans.
  • Provides psychotherapy as individual, group &/or family interventions when clinically indicated/appropriate.
  • Maintains knowledge of Veteran's benefits and services, community resources, and process for making appropriate referrals.
  • Provides case management services to the patient and their families throughout the continuum of care.
  • Adheres to the clients regulations regarding documentation and completion of encounters.

Benefits

  • Pay for this role: $70-$92 per hour. Final compensation will be based on relevant factors, including work experience, skills, certifications, and internal equity.
