About The Position

CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Licensed Survey Manager to join our Infrastructure – Survey Geospatial Team at our Duluth, GA or Columbia, SC office. The Licensed Survey Manager, an important technical leadership role at CHA, leads an effective and productive team of technical professionals. This individual’s success is measured by their team's technical quality, achieving team utilization targets, engaging, and motivating their team to go above and beyond, and effective management of project budgets. The Licensed Survey Manager organizes, directs, and coordinates activities associated with the project scope of work either individually or collectively with their team. Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; A.A.S. degree or B.S. degree preferred (required if not professionally licensed).
  • Minimum of 10 years of geospatial related consulting experience is required; previous project or team management experience preferred.
  • Valid US Driver’s license required.
  • PLS required (unless B.S. from an accredited survey program has been achieved).
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state and other regulations regarding land surveying.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D is required; knowledge of MicroStation software is a plus.
  • Ability to travel short-term is preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate technical proficiency in respective discipline.
  • Technically astute and strategic in thinking to manage the activity within the team.
  • An articulate and persuasive communicator, both one-on-one and in front of large groups.
  • A high energy, results-oriented, resourceful leader with a strong ability to lead/grow a team of field crew and office staff.
  • Ability to resolve matters timely and lead projects to completion with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, build and manage relationships across the company.
  • Experience with project budgeting preferred.
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of accounting processes.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the discipline’s technical processes.

Benefits

  • Salary range: $110,000 - $130,000 based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
