GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION The Licensed Social Worker provides individual and group therapy while supporting comprehensive clinical services across Gesher’s programs. This role includes clinical assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and crisis support, with a strong focus on evidence-based practice and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of master’s degree in social work- LMSW/LLMSW
  • Demonstrated clinical judgment and strong clinical expertise
  • Proven administrative skills, with attention to confidentiality, compliance, and documentation standards
  • Experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental health conditions
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with families, caregivers, and other key stakeholders
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including some evenings and weekends as needed
  • Ability to manage crisis situations with professionalism, sound judgment, and calm decision-making
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with computers, including spreadsheet, database, and electronic record systems
  • Familiarity to work collaboratively across programs and departments
  • Ability to complete comprehensive clinical assessments and develop, implement, and document treatment plans and quarterly reports
  • Ability to complete required trainings and maintain all necessary credentials and certifications

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with CARF standards and accreditation requirements preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group therapy to Gesher clients, including walk-in services and occasional home visits, using evidence-based clinical practices
  • Provide direct clinical supervision to LLMSWs and MSW interns, as appropriate, and support the development of the MSW intern program and related work assignments
  • Collaborate with fellow clinicians, the Director of Residential Services, external case managers, and other stakeholders to coordinate case consultations and clinical care
  • Support the development, implementation, and training of clinical policies, procedures, and standards across programs
  • Assist with IPOS development, psychosocial assessments, outcome measurement, DLA-20 administration, and other clinical tools
  • Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation and client notes within required electronic databases
  • Facilitate and participate in ongoing clinical training for staff to support quality, compliance, and best practices
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to residential teams to ensure consistency in clinical processes, documentation, and care standards
  • Maintain clinical files and records in compliance with state, county, and accreditation requirements
  • Adhere to the NASW Code of Ethics, Adult Protection Code, Mental Health Code, and CARF standards and guidelines
  • Serve as a representative of Gesher and a subject-matter expert at community events, trainings, and conferences
  • Attend required staff meetings and in-service trainings
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support program and organizational needs
