About The Position

This position supports the Organization in providing counseling services for mental illness and substance use disorder. The role involves completing screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment, while proactively building a patient panel through outreach and engagement with primary care and other providers. Additionally, the position requires maintaining medical records.

Requirements

• Must be Licensed in the State of Ohio to provide mental health counseling services (LSW, LPCC, or equivalent; LISW preferred)
• Required experience: at least one year of Counseling
• Required education: Bachelor's degree. Preferred: Master's degree
• Must have experience in Mental Health counseling. Experience in Substance Use Disorder Counseling is strongly preferred
• Experience with integrated behavioral health preferred
• Ability to successfully guide others to create an efficient, harmonious work environment
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to Social Work Licenses
• EMR/EHR experience required
• Competency in working sensitively and respectfully with people of various cultures and social status
• Skills to expertly deliver exceptional health care to the public

Nice To Haves

• Multi-lingual (Spanish, Nepali, or Somali) and/or experience in working with interpreters/diverse patient populations preferred
• Supervision certification or supervision experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist the providers as needed by administering the highest quality patient care in a sensitive and respectful manner
• Accurately document in appropriate medical records
• Ensure providers' orders are properly followed
• Triage patients in office visits, walk-ins, and via telephone to complete SBIRT or crisis counseling services
• Perform the tasks of an LSW or LCSW
• Follow all policies, procedures, and work rules
• Other duties as necessary or assigned
