About The Position

This position supports the Organization in the following manner: Provides counseling services for mental illness and substance use disorder. Signs off on and provides support to non-independent licensed social workers providing counseling services. Supervises social worker and/or community health worker students. Completes screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment Helps clients gain access to resources. Maintains medical records

Requirements

• Must be Social Work Licensed in the State of Ohio (LISW)
• Required experience: at least one year Counseling
• Required education: Master’s
• Must have experience in Mental Health counseling.
• EMR/EHR experience required
• Competency in working sensitively and respectfully with people of various cultures and social status
• Skills to expertly deliver exceptional health care to the public

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Substance Use Disorder Counseling is strongly preferred.
• Experience with integrated behavioral health preferred.
• Multi-lingual (Spanish, Nepali, or Somali) and/or experience in working with interpreters/diverse patient populations preferred.
• Ability to successfully guide others to create an efficient, harmonious work environment
• Supervision certification or supervision experience preferred
• Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to Social Work Licenses

Responsibilities

• Assist the providers as needed by administering the highest quality patient care in a sensitive and respectful manner
• Accurately documentation in appropriate medical record
• Ensure providers’ orders are properly followed
• Triage patients in office visits, walk-ins and via telephone to complete SBIRT or crisis counseling services.
• Perform the tasks of an LISW
• Follows all policies, procedures and work rules
• Other duties as necessary or assigned
