About The Position

POSITION: SLicensed Social Worker-LICSW (1.0) Elementary Schools Assignment: South River Elementary School STARTING DATE: As soon as possible SALARY: Teacher Salary Schedule ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP OR LINE OF AUTHORITY: Directly responsible to Building Principal and Assistant Superintendent Student Services QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker certification preferred. Experience with elementary age students preferred. Certification in Non Violent Crisis Methodology/Safety Care beneficial. Experience with social emotional and therapeutic environments. Ability to develop and implement behavioral plans. Knowledge of crisis intervention, strong parent communication skills, ability to conduct behavioral assessments/observations, and a strong desire to work with challenging students is required. Strong Executive Functioning skills. Ability to collaborate with teachers and other service providers within the district as well as outside therapists, medical professionals, and parents. Treatment planning that includes evidence-based data collection and analysis. In-class social pragmatic and self-regulation skill development groups for students. Individual and/or small group therapy. Consultation to teaching staff. Participation in Team meetings and outside service provider meetings as needed. In-class behavior management support as needed.
