About The Position

Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) for a vital role serving the vibrant student communities of Montebello and Pico Rivera, CA ! In this position, you will support two welcoming K-12 campuses located just miles apart, providing essential mental health leadership and clinical support to help students build resilience and thrive through the academic year. Position Overview: Provide direct mental health services to K-12 students across multiple school sites, including screening for disorders, providing early interventions, and assisting students in de-escalating emotional distress. Implement universal supports to foster positive school climates, promoting resilience and pro-social behaviors to prevent youth violence and the development of behavioral health disorders. Build cross-system partnerships and refer students to appropriate sustainable supports, including community-based services, crisis hotline, and self-help strategies. Execute school-wide protocols for mental health concerns, ensuring compliance with established policies regarding suicide prevention and postvention support.

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctoral Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling Psychology, or a related clinical mental health field
  • Valid California Clinical License as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish to provide culturally competent care to the student population (Highly Preferred)
