About The Position

As a Sales Agent at Toyota Insurance, you’ll represent the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) by offering tailored Property & Casualty insurance solutions to Toyota customers. Your responsibilities include identifying client needs, recommending suitable coverage options, and guiding them through the sales process. You’ll offer a wide range of products, including Auto, Home, Umbrella, and RV/Boat coverage. In select states, Toyota provides its own white-label auto insurance and partners with top-tier carriers to deliver personalized coverage that best fits each customer's unique needs. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, a customer-first approach, and the ability to meet sales goals in a dynamic, multi-carrier environment.

Requirements

  • Property & Casualty License or Personal Lines License required.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) or multilingual (Plus).
  • Confident, self-starter who works well independently and is driven to be amongst the top of the sales agent group; must be motivated, driven to sell & possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have great active listening skills and a customer-focused sales approach.
  • Strong ability to persuade and influence others, overcome objections, close sales.
  • Minimum 2 years P&C/PL insurance sales experience required; prior call center experience preferred.
  • Experience with Agency Management Software and Microsoft Office experience including Outlook, Word, and Excel required.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming calls from Toyota customers that are interested in our Personal Lines insurance offerings – prepare or review quotes and explain relevant reasons why we are the optimum choice for their insurance needs.
  • Place outbound calls to Toyota customers that are interested in our Personal Lines insurance offerings – review quotes that were previously created by the Toyota customer and explain relevant reasons why we are the optimum choice for their insurance needs.
  • Sell Personal Lines insurance products to Toyota customers and achieve/exceed department close ratios for both inbound and outbound leads/sales.
  • During every quoting interaction, while conversing with our Toyota customers about insurance offerings, conduct thorough policy reviews based on the individual’s needs and appropriate risk management techniques to offer the best options for insurance needs.
  • Customize quotes and sell insurance products as requested by the Toyota customer, while utilizing your insurance knowledge and expertise to provide relevant reasons that support the value of you being their insurance agent.
