Make a difference as a Licensed Respiratory Therapist As a Licensed Respiratory Therapist at Minden Medical Center, your daily responsibilities will include conducting thorough assessments of patients' respiratory conditions and developing tailored care plans. You'll administer therapeutic treatments such as nebulization and oxygen therapy while closely monitoring patients' responses and progress. Collaboration is key; you'll work alongside physicians and nursing staff to ensure comprehensive patient care. You'll also provide education and support to patients and their families, fostering an understanding of respiratory health. Maintaining accurate documentation of treatments and patient interactions will be essential. Additionally, you'll engage in regular team meetings to discuss case management and participate in continuous learning opportunities to stay current with industry innovations. What matters most To thrive as a Licensed Respiratory Therapist at Minden Medical Center, candidates should possess a current Louisiana Respiratory Therapist license and AHA BLS certification upon hire. Flexibility is vital, as the role requires the ability to work various shifts in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of one year of experience in an acute hospital setting, including exposure to ED, ICU, and care for patients ranging from geriatric to nursery, is preferred. However, new graduates are encouraged to apply, demonstrating a commitment to learning and growth. Skills in using respiratory therapy equipment and electronic medical records software will be crucial. Additionally, having ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications will enhance your candidacy.
