Independently provides professional healthcare services with a focus on neurodevelopmental and neuropsychological issues, including autism testing for children and adults; neuropsychology testing; and interpreting the Rorschach Performance Assessment System. Performs assessment and treatment of patients with autism, ADHD, traumatic brain injuries, seizures, dementia and related diagnoses. Provides individual, family and group therapy. 2. As a licensed psychologist, also evaluates commercially insured neuropsychology patients; writes and finalizes patient notes and evaluation reports; and reviews and approves neuropsychology and autism tests administered and scored by non-licensed providers. (NEW – spends over 50% of the time performing these duties) 3. Provides professional healthcare services with a focus on neurodevelopmental and neuropsychological issues, including autism testing for children and adults; neuropsychology testing; and interpreting the Rorschach Performance Assessment System. Performs assessment and treatment of patients with autism, ADHD, traumatic brain injuries, seizures, dementia and related diagnoses. Provides individual, family and group therapy. 4. Functions in accordance with Burrell Behavioral Health Operational Guidelines and within relevant professional code of ethics. 5. Responsible for meeting department-specific productivity expectations for the minimum number of hours spent providing direct client care, the volume and nature of which is established by supervisory staff, and proactive coordination with support services teams to avoid cancellations within 24-hours of client appointments unless there is an emergency or clear conflict of interest . 6. Ensures that all client documentation is accurate, in-line with best practices and submitted within the department’s expected timeframe. 7. Maintains knowledge of Burrell programs, including admission criteria and referral processes. 8. Provides and/or coordinates a comprehensive follow-up plan to all clients for whom they have been responsible at the time of initial assessment. 9. Participates in or coordinates emergency services in order to provide rapid aid in cases of crisis. 10. Maintains general knowledge of community resources and how to access them for needs beyond the scope of services Burrell provides. 11. According to Burrell guidelines, participates in peer review staffing and departmental/agency meetings. Participates in and contributes to the various staff development activities of Burrell. 12. Responsive to all Quality Assurance/Compliance/Revenue Cycle procedures of Burrell. Cooperates with utilization review procedures and follows established procedures, policies and regulations. 13. Within limits of experience, educational background, and Burrell time commitments, presents in public forums educational material to promote community understanding of mental health and to enhance community response to mental health problems. 14. Is responsive and cooperative with management needs/requests, such as data collection, program evaluation, development of grant applications, maintenance of various contracts for services, etc. Participates in and contributes to the various staff development activities of Burrell. 15. Completes all agency required trainings and requirements. Regularly participates in evaluation of self and any assigned staff according to Burrell Policies and Procedures. 16. Performs other work assignments or special functions as assigned by department leadership teams.

Requirements

  • Doctorate in Psychology, Counseling Psychology or related field
  • Licensed Psychologist (LP) in the State of Missouri.
  • Demonstrated ability administering and scoring tests for children and adults.
