About The Position

OPPORTUNITY PsyPhyCare, a division of Business Staffing of America, Inc., is seeking to contract with a Licensed Clinical Psychologist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide on-site mental health services for a federally supported residential youth program located in Long Beach, California . Our client operates a comprehensive residential program serving approximately 300 low-income youth , ages 16 through 24 , with a mission to prepare participants for meaningful employment and independent living . This position provides direct, on-site mental health services to students and support staff within a structured residential environment. POSITION OVERVIEW This is a contract position , with full-time or part-time availability considered , for up to 16 hours per week . Schedule: Tuesday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This role is on-site only ; telehealth or remote work is not available. The schedule is open and flexible , with opportunities to adjust hours as needed to support student engagement and program needs. Location: On-site, Long Beach, CA

Requirements

• Candidates must be registered, licensed, or certified by the State of California as one of the following: Licensed Clinical Psychologist Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience providing mental health services to adolescents and young adults is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook is required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in one or more of the following settings is preferred: Schools or colleges Residential or institutional programs Military or correctional institutions
• Admission and/or attending privileges at local hospitals or specialty clinics are desired but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site mental health services to enrolled students
• Actively engage within the residential environment
• Spend increased afternoon and evening hours in student living and activity areas such as dormitories, recreation areas, counseling spaces, and dining facilities
• Provide oversight, guidance, and training to staff who facilitate group counseling sessions
• Collaborate with program leadership and staff to support student development, well-being, and safety
• Maintain appropriate clinical documentation
• Uphold professional standards at all times
