About The Position

Are you a dedicated Licensed Psychologist passionate about supporting the mental health and academic success of students in Manhattan? Knowledge Road is seeking a part-time Licensed Psychologist to join our team and provide essential psychological services to students in NYC Department of Education (DOE) schools. As a Licensed Psychologist with Knowledge Road, you will have the autonomy to deliver individualized interventions, working collaboratively with school teams and families to support student mental health and academic achievement.

Requirements

• NYS license as a Licensed Psychologist.
• Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an APA-accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience providing psychological services to children and adolescents.
• Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and teletherapy platforms.
• NYC DOE fingerprinting and vendor status required or willingness to obtain prior to start.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a school-based setting or educational environment.
• Specialized training in child and adolescent therapy modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, play therapy, family therapy).
• Experience with psychological assessment and testing.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, Mandarin, or other languages prevalent in Manhattan schools.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, high-quality individual and group counseling services to students, as mandated by their Individualized Education Service Programs/Individualized Education Programs (IESP/IEP).
• Address a comprehensive range of social, emotional, and behavioral concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and complex psychological conditions.
• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to inform treatment planning and educational recommendations.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans utilizing various therapeutic modalities tailored to the unique developmental and cultural needs of each student.
• Collaborate closely with parents, teachers, school administrators, and other mental health professionals to create a holistic and supportive learning environment.
• Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of all services, progress, and outcomes in compliance with DOE regulations, HIPAA requirements, and Knowledge Road standards.
• Actively participate in IESP/IEP meetings, offering expert psychological insights and recommendations to guide student progress and educational planning.
