We are currently seeking an experienced and mission-driven Psychiatrist to provide direct patient care in a secure, state-supported residential treatment setting serving adults with complex mental health needs. Compensation & Assignment Details Pay Rate: $170 Pay Schedule: Weekly pay with benefit options Shift Availability: Flexible scheduling Monday - Friday 8a - 5p Location Kerrville , TX Assignment Length: 6-month minimum contract with option to extend
Requirements
- Active Physician License in the State of Texas (in good standing)
- Active DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) certification
- Current credentialing with hospitals affiliated with the facility
- Current CPR certification (American Heart Association approved)
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Provide diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management
- Perform face-to-face patient evaluations
- Respond to emergency situations, including behavioral crises and restraints
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and attendance standards
- Perform duties consistent with facility-employed physicians
- Comply with facility standard operating procedures and Joint Commission Standards
