Innovative Therapeutic Services (ITS) is seeking a Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services to children and adolescents in a juvenile detention center setting. This role focuses on addressing psychiatric disorders, behavioral challenges, trauma, and co-occurring conditions to support rehabilitation. The psychiatrist will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure medication compliance and uphold professional standards of care. The ideal candidate is a licensed psychiatrist in Maryland with experience working with youth in juvenile justice settings and a commitment to trauma-informed, evidence-based care. Onboarding and required training are expected to begin in February 2026, with staff assuming their full clinical roles effective March 1, 2026 . As part of our strategic expansion, ITS is extending mental health services throughout Department of Juvenile Services (DJS) centers across Maryland. This expansion reflects our mission to increase access to high-quality behavioral health care for justice-involved youth while creating meaningful opportunities for clinicians to contribute to systems-level impact, professional growth, and community-based change.
