About The Position

Our brand new, 15-bed, mental health facility is located in Orangevale, Ca. Our inpatient facility serves voluntary clients who receive specialized and personal care from our staff. Requirements
- Current Psychiatric Technician (PT) license
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- Possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Familiar with HIPAA/client confidentiality and personal rights.
- Possess CPR/First Aid certification.
- Current TB test and health screen
- Work authorization/security clearance requirements: Valid Driver’s License
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day delivery of patient care.
- Provides outstanding, individualized resident care and medical support to clients as needed.
- Prepare and review medical records and nurses' notes to evaluate the resident's physical and emotional status.
- Provide care according to the Physician's orders, care plans, established standards, policies and procedures.
- Prepare and monitor patient administered medications as ordered by the physician in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies.
- Monitors and reports adverse reactions to medications and treatment to the RN and/or Physician.
- Sign, date and perform all charting, record keeping and care plans in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Utilizes good infection control procedures.
- Utilizes behavioral management and crisis intervention techniques.
- Ensures compliance with State licensing standards and accreditation standards
- Adheres to and upholds the policies and procedures of the company.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions.
- Provide client assistance in crisis intervention situations.
- Maintains EMR.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists.
