Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One-year Acute Psychiatric experience.
• Current CA LVN or LPT license.

Responsibilities

• Collecting and documenting clinical data on patients during admission and throughout the hospital stay.
• Providing interventions which are within scope of licensure practice, following policy/procedures/treatment plan/MD orders.
• Assisting patients to improve their level of functioning.
• Providing information to RNs and others as needed for the assessment, care-planning, and provision of care of patients on the psychiatric unit.
• Participating in continuing education, development of unit programs, facilitation of staff communication, and assistance to other units when needed.
