One California Job Summary and Responsibilities The Licensed Psychiatric Technician provides skilled, technical patient care and services to patients according to a plan of care. Works as a team member to meet team goals and objectives. Works effectively under multiple demands and adjusts priorities as circumstances require to meet nursing/staffing needs of the department. Maintains a high degree of accuracy and precision on a consistent basis in the performance of procedures. Treats co-workers, physicians, patients/families, visitors, and the public with dignity and respect. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with all hospital staff. Maintains patient confidentiality. May have access to or be required to distribute drugs, needles or syringes from storage locations, (such as large stock supplies, automated dispensing units and other carts) to/within patient care areas or treatment carts as defined by hospital policy/procedure Job Specific Duties Observes patients' physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs considering diagnosis, age, care selling, desire for care, and response to care plan. Assists RN with planning, collaborating with other members of the healthcare team. Delivers competent care as required by patient, plan of care, and care setting, collaborating with other members of the healthcare team. Observes patient's responses to care. Provides interactive patient/family education.

Requirements

  • State of California Licensed PsychiatricTech
  • 1-3 years 1 year Psychiatric Tech: CA Basic Life Support - CPR

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years 2 years behavioral health experiencepreferred.
