About The Position

Geisinger Medical Clinic Scenery Park is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for a full-time day shift position. The role includes a $7500 sign-on bonus and requires in-person attendance. The counselor will work primarily with adult outpatient clients, assessing their needs and developing treatment plans to facilitate improved functioning and symptom resolution. Responsibilities include providing individual, family, couple, and group psychotherapy, participating in program planning with the psychiatry team, and evaluating ongoing biopsychosocial needs of patients. The counselor will also engage in group therapy and provide case management to assigned patients, ensuring compliance with program and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Social Sciences.
• Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor certification.
• Experience in providing psychotherapy and case management.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and abilities and develop treatment plans.
• Provide individual, family, couple, and group psychotherapy.
• Participate in program planning with the psychiatry team.
• Evaluate ongoing biopsychosocial needs of patients.
• Provide psychotherapies and case management to assigned patients.
• Engage as a primary therapist or co-therapist in group therapy.
• Obtain pertinent data in accordance with program and regulatory standards.
• Uphold agency policies and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with outpatient and inpatient teams for triage evaluation and crisis intervention.
