About The Position

French Consulting is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide onsite nursing care in community living centers at the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System. You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering care that meets or exceeds nationally recognized standards in a state-of-the-art healthcare environment. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a licensed practical nurse
  • Valid California LPN license with no negative indicators
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Ability to provide verifiable documentation of education, training, licensure, and certifications
  • Eligible to pass required background checks
  • U.S. citizenship or lawful authorization to work under VA contract compliance requirements, including E-Verify
  • Ability to provide proof of receiving the annual Influenza vaccine
  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to high standards of patient care.
  • Mission-focused and capable of working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Able to comply with VA, federal, and state healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality LPN care to eligible VA beneficiaries, following state-of-the-art standards comparable to civilian medical facilities.
  • Administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and provide geriatric care in accordance with VA guidelines.
  • Support RNs in patient care to ensure services align with facility and VA standards.
  • Follow all VA, CDC, OSHA, and Infection Control protocols, including mandatory immunizations, bloodborne pathogen training, and influenza vaccine requirements.
  • Complete all VA-mandated annual training (compliance, ethics, infection control, safety/security, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to meet federal and facility requirements.
  • Coordinate with RNs, administrative staff, and contractors to ensure seamless patient care operations.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and briefings as required.
  • Abide by the facility Medical Staff By-Laws, rules, and regulations.
