About The Position

DaVita is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide care in an outpatient dialysis center. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of patients and their families who are dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. The company's mission is to be the Provider, Partner, and Employer of Choice, delivering quality service with empathy and compassion. No prior dialysis experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided, potentially at a facility or training clinic different from the assigned home clinic. The position requires a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and involves floating to various facilities during and after training. LPNs will build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and their families in an intimate outpatient setting, working as part of a supportive team. They will deliver care to patients with multiple co-morbidities, requiring unique treatment plans and a broad range of nursing skills in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Current LPN-LVN license in the state of practice required
  • Current CPR certification required
  • IV certification required if required by state regulations
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completed training program approved by the medical director and the governing body as required by CMS guidelines prior to operating the water treatment system
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook required
  • Functional proficiency in computer systems of DaVita within 90 days of hire required

Nice To Haves

  • BONENT or CHT certification preferred or as required by state regulation
  • Minimum of one year's experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
