This temporary position will be assigned to DPS Prisons Administrative Services. This position will be responsible for the following: Provide professional nursing care and treatment in accordance with medical protocols. Work independently to carry out nursing processes to offenders arriving at the Sandy Ridge Bus Terminal on transfer buses. Responsible for overseeing the daily nursing care activities to include administering medications and treatments as directed by physician. Responsible for appropriate treatment and medical documentation. Work is performed under the general supervision of a Lead Nurse or Nurse Supervisor. Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification. Requirements
- Must have a current, unencumbered license as a registered nurse in the state of North Carolina.
